I am a certified yoga teacher with almost 20 years of experience practicing yoga including 10 years of teaching. I have always been involved in various sports activities and workouts. When I was introduced to my first yoga class in 2001 (after my second child was born) I fell in love! In 2006, futile attempts to seek help in modern medicine after a car accident left me partially paralyzed. I returned to yoga, having faith in the practice, and listening to my body, I began my recovery slowly getting stronger physically and beginning to heal my broken heart. I love to teach Vinyasa, Hot, and Acro Yoga. My classes are dynamic and challenging with a big touch of heart to awaken your senses, enhance your focus, and help you reconnect to nature.
In 2008 I obtained my CYT in Yoga Fit Training System Worldwide and continued on to specialize in Anusara, Ashtanga, Children’s & Prenatal, and Acro yoga. In 2010 I also obtained RYT200 through The Blue Sun Yoga registered through Yoga Alliance. I am passionate about Acro Yoga; you’ll find me playing, studying, and conducting Acro Yoga workshops around the Chicago area.
I believe there is no age or weight limitation – everybody can do yoga. What inspires me the most is a person tries something new, courageous, and (sometimes) just shows up on his or her mat. I am passionate about the proper physical practice, knowing anatomy and alignment that fulfills body, mind, and soul. Everyone has beauty and love within them. Let Yoga help your body and your mind to get in harmony with the external world!
